A consortium comprising Australian firms DESIGNSPORT and LAVA, Laboratory for Visionary Architecture, and Ethiopian firm JDaw Consulting, has won the international design competition for the Main Stadium of Addis Ababa in Ethiopia. The recently assembled Consortium received the exciting news last week and is now negotiating a full contract with the Ethiopian Government.
For this project, DESIGNSPORT, led by CEO Samantha Cotterell, teamed up with creative partner LAVA, led by director, Chris Bosse, and local Ethiopian firm JDaw Consulting.
Construction on the stadium is expected to commence in 2014.
